Zach Gardner, CEO @ClaimsFlow
As of November 2026, Xactimate Pro costs $350 a month or $2,690 a year per license on Verisk's Xactware Store. Pro is also sold in 3-month ($880) and 6-month ($1,725) terms, and Xactimate Standard, which runs on one platform only, is $1,575 for six months. In January 2027, Verisk will combine Standard and Pro into a single license called Xactimate.
That’s the sticker price. Below are the add-ons, training and renewal rules, plus a worked total-cost example for a restoration contractor.
Xactimate pricing at a glance
These are the prices for a new subscription on the Xactware Store as of November 2026, in US dollars per license.
Plan | Term | Price | Effective monthly cost | Platforms |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Xactimate Pro | 1 month | $350 | $350.00 | Desktop, online and mobile |
Xactimate Pro | 3 months | $880 | $293.33 | Desktop, online and mobile |
Xactimate Pro | 6 months | $1,725 | $287.50 | Desktop, online and mobile |
Xactimate Pro | 12 months | $2,690 | $224.17 | Desktop, online and mobile |
Xactimate Standard | 6 months | $1,575 | $262.50 | One platform of your choice |
Two things the table doesn’t show:
Standard has no monthly or 3-month option. The store only offers it on the 6-month term.
The xactimate.com sign-in page already shows a single plan called “Xactimate” at $2,690 a year or $350 a month, which matches Pro pricing.
Prices change, so confirm on the store or with Verisk sales (800-424-9228) before you buy.
What each Xactimate plan includes
Xactimate Pro
Pro is the full product. According to the store listing and Verisk’s 2027 transition slides, it includes everything in Standard plus:
Access to all three platforms: desktop (installed software that works offline), online (in a browser) and mobile
Cloud syncing, so you can scope on a phone at the loss site and finish the estimate at your desk
XactScope, guided scoping for water mitigation, roof and exterior work
XactRebuild, which builds a starting rebuild estimate from water mitigation data
Sketch AR, which captures room measurements straight into Sketch on a supported phone
Time and Materials, which tracks labor, materials and equipment against the estimate
Free access to the Xactware Classroom, Verisk’s self-paced training library
Xactimate Standard
Standard has the core estimating tools: line-item estimating with local pricing, Sketch, depreciation and reports. The catch is that you pick one platform. If you choose desktop, you can’t open the same estimate on mobile at the loss site.
For an estimator who works only at a desk, that’s fine. For a contractor who scopes in the field and writes at the office, one platform gets in the way fast.
The January 2027 change: one license
Verisk announced in a September 2026 webinar that Standard and Professional will become a single Xactimate license starting in January 2027, and the xactimate.com sign-in page says the same. The unified license carries the capabilities that Pro has today. Here’s what that means for you:
On Standard today. You gain the Pro features, and your price goes up at the end of your current term.
On Pro today. Verisk says there are no changes to your subscription and no price changes in 2027.
Buying new. Standard is being phased out, so plan your budget around Pro pricing.
We couldn’t find a published post-transition price for current Standard users. If you’re on Standard, ask sales before your term ends.
Monthly vs annual: what each term costs over a year
Monthly billing is flexible but costs the most. Twelve months of Pro bought one month at a time comes to $4,200. The 12-month term is $2,690, so paying annually saves $1,510 per license.
How you buy 12 months of Pro | Total |
|---|---|
12-month term | $2,690 |
Two 6-month terms | $3,450 |
Four 3-month terms | $3,520 |
Twelve 1-month terms | $4,200 |
Short terms make sense when you don’t need Xactimate all year. Say you’re a CAT adjuster deploying for four months of storm season. A 3-month term plus one month costs $1,230, while four separate months cost $1,400 and a 6-month term costs $1,725. If you’ll use Xactimate for more than about nine months of the year, the annual term is cheaper.
Costs beyond the subscription
Price lists are included
A price list is Verisk’s researched unit cost for every line item in a given market, covering labor, materials and equipment. You don’t pay extra for it. Every subscription includes localized pricing, and Verisk publishes price lists for more than 460 geographic regions and updates them on a regular schedule.
Extra seats
You buy Xactimate by the license. To add a user, an admin opens the Customer Portal, selects Change quantity on the subscription and adds licenses (Xactware help). Removing licenses takes a call to sales. We couldn’t find a volume discount on the Xactware Store, so if you need several seats, call 800-424-9228 and ask for a quote.
Add-ons
Verisk sells several connected products that are licensed separately. Two have public prices on the store as of November 2026:
Add-on | What it does | Published price |
|---|---|---|
XactContents | Contents (personal property) estimating with a large item and cost database | $950 for 12 months, as an add-on to a new subscription |
AI photo labeling, note summaries and pricing recommendations | $348 for 12 months (about $29 a month, introductory pricing) or $39 month to month |
Bought on its own, XactContents is $1,900 for 12 months.
XactAnalysis (claims and assignment management), XactXpert (estimate rules checks), XactGen Roofing and XactGen Capture are also sold separately. We couldn’t find public store prices for them, so ask sales.
Training and certification
Pro includes the Xactware Classroom. Everything else is extra. Verisk’s published prices as of November 2026:
Training option | Price |
|---|---|
Xactware Course Bundle, 14 self-paced courses for 12 months | $135 |
Virtual instructor-led Level 1, one 8-hour day | $329 |
Virtual Level 1 and Level 2, three days | $699 |
Virtual Level 2, two days | $382 |
Virtual Level 3, two days | $472 |
Certification exam, per level | $120 |
Each certification is valid for two years. For what each level tests and how to prepare, see our guide to Xactimate certification.
Is there an Xactimate free trial?
Not from Verisk directly. As of November 2026, neither the Xactware Store nor xactimate.com offers a free Xactimate trial. The store’s free trial is for XactRemodel, a separate remodeling product.
Certified trainers fill the gap. AdjusterPro reports that Verisk discontinued the free Xactimate demo in September 2024, and that Xactimate Certified Trainers now get a training instance for their students. The Adjuster School says its course includes 30 days of access through its instance. If you want hands-on time before you subscribe, a trainer-led course is the realistic route. Without a trainer, the shortest term that gets you the full product is one month of Pro at $350.

How Xactimate renewal works
Renewals run through Verisk’s Customer Portal at verisk.subscription-suite.io. Per Verisk’s help article and 2024 renewal FAQ:
Sign in to the Customer Portal and open the Subscriptions tab.
Check the End date to see when your term expires.
For an expired or cancelled subscription, select Show cancelled, find it, and select Unlock Xactimate or Renew now.
Choose your term, select Go to Checkout, accept the terms and select Confirm purchase. You no longer need a key code.
A few rules to know before your renewal date:
Watch for auto-renew. Verisk’s 2024 FAQ says a renewed subscription renews automatically. To turn off auto-renew, call sales at 800-424-9228.
Billing can change at renewal; license counts can’t. You choose your term and can change billing details during renewal, but you can’t change the number of licenses until the renewal is done.
Cancellation is by phone. Verisk’s FAQ says to call sales to cancel.
If you’re a CAT adjuster on short terms, put your end date on the calendar so a term you no longer need doesn’t roll over.
The total cost of ownership for a restoration contractor
For many restoration companies, the Xactimate software cost is the smaller part of the bill. The bigger part is labor, meaning the hours your estimators spend in the software.
Year one for one estimator
Cost | Amount |
|---|---|
Xactimate Pro, 12 months | $2,690 |
Virtual Level 1 class | $329 |
Level 1 certification exam | $120 |
Software and training, year one | $3,139 |
Add XactAI ($348) or XactContents ($950 as an add-on to a new subscription, $1,900 on its own) if you need them. In year two, the training line drops out, but labor doesn’t.
The labor you don’t see on the invoice
Some of that labor is the job itself: scoping, sketching and pricing. Some of it is pure re-keying. When a carrier sends a PDF estimate instead of the ESX file (Xactimate’s native project file, with the line items, the Sketch and the project tree, which is the structure of rooms and areas the items sit under), someone retypes every line to work with it in Xactimate. We break that cost down in the real cost of working from a PDF estimate. The short version is two to five hours for a large estimate.
Here’s a worked example. Assume a loaded labor cost of $45 an hour, which is an assumption you should replace with your own number.
Without conversion. Assume a 300-line-item carrier estimate takes about 3 hours to re-key. At $45 an hour, that’s $135 of estimator time, and the rebuilt RCV (replacement cost value, the total before depreciation) still has to be checked against the original.
With ClaimsFlow. The same 300 line items cost $105 at the $0.35 rack rate, and volume discounts lower that as you convert more each month. ClaimsFlow’s median conversion time is 99 seconds, and even a 500-line-item loss usually takes 10 to 15 minutes. You pay only for line items that convert, and anything that doesn’t is flagged in the Conversion Report.
At six carrier PDFs a month, re-keying alone comes to about $9,720 a year in labor under these assumptions. That’s more than three times the Pro subscription.
ClaimsFlow doesn’t replace Xactimate. It produces an ESX file, and you still need an active Xactimate license to open it, edit it and write the supplement. Conversion cuts the re-keying hours. Xactimate is still where the estimate gets written. If you’re new to ESX files, see how to import an ESX file into Xactimate, and to see the steps, read how to convert a PDF estimate to ESX.
Xactimate cost FAQ
How much does Xactimate cost?
As of November 2026, Xactimate Pro is $2,690 a year or $350 a month per license on the Xactware Store, with 3-month ($880) and 6-month ($1,725) terms in between. Xactimate Standard is $1,575 for six months on one platform. Training, certification and add-ons like XactContents are extra.
How much is Xactimate per month?
$350 a month for Xactimate Pro on the 1-month term. On the 12-month term, Pro works out to about $224 a month, but you pay $2,690 for the year. Standard isn’t sold month to month.
Is there an Xactimate free trial?
Verisk doesn’t offer a public free trial of Xactimate as of November 2026. Xactimate Certified Trainers can give students temporary access through a training instance, which some trainers advertise as 30 days. Without a trainer, the shortest term that gets you the full product is one month of Pro at $350.
How does Xactimate renewal work?
You renew in the Customer Portal under the Subscriptions tab, where you choose your term and can update billing details. Verisk’s 2024 FAQ says a renewed subscription then renews automatically. To cancel, call Verisk sales at 800-424-9228. Standard subscribers move to the unified Xactimate license in 2027, with a price increase at the end of their current term.
Is the Xactimate subscription per user?
Yes. You buy licenses, and an admin adds more in the Customer Portal with Change quantity. We couldn’t find a multi-seat discount on the Xactware Store, so call sales for team pricing.
Do price list updates cost extra?
No. Localized pricing comes with every Xactimate subscription. Verisk researches prices for more than 460 regions and updates them on a regular schedule.
Try ClaimsFlow on your next estimate
The Xactimate license is a fixed cost. The hours your team spends retyping carrier PDFs aren’t. Upload your next PDF estimate to ClaimsFlow and open the ESX in Xactimate with the project tree, line items, F9 notes (the line-level notes estimators use to justify an item) and the interior Sketch already in place, plus a Conversion Report for anything that didn’t convert. Your first 150 line items are free at claimsflow.io. After that, check the result with our guide to reviewing a converted estimate.
